The Role of Leadership in Preventing Workplace Burnout
Workers around the world are experiencing higher levels of burnout than ever before. A Harvard Business Review survey of 1500 respondents in 46 countries found that 89% of respondents said their work-life was getting worse, and 62% of people who were struggling to manage their workloads had experienced burnout "often" or "extremely often" in the previous three months. Medical and mental health professionals have long-been raising alarms about workplace burnout's negative effects on psychological and physical health.
