I am the President of Satori Leadership Development LLC and the authorized agent of Crestcom International for Bengaluru, India. I have over 16 years of leadership experience in a variety of profiles from managing a company to investment banking, corporate banking and international trade finance. Whether being in the board room surrounded by the C-suite, or spending time at remote locations with no cell service working in a hard hat with my team on turn-around maintenance projects, I have always enjoyed working in challenging situations. I have an engineering degree in computer science and an MBA in finance.
As a small business owner, I’ve faced dilemmas similar to those that business leaders encounter when optimizing organizational performance to deliver in the 21st century:
1. Technology has impacted communications tremendously: phone, email, text, face-to-face, and social require unique skills.
2. There are as many as five generations in the workplace at the same time, with different approaches to work.
3. Customer service expectations have increased, requiring higher quality and consistency delivered quickly.
4. Employees have higher expectations of their employers. If you don’t engage them quickly and often they’ll leave.
5. Company’s performance is impacted not only by the primary product or service but by the myriad of suppliers they utilize.
6. Technical competence is necessary across many disciplines beyond just your core competencies.
The school of hard knocks will always be the default, and many leaders have developed their skills through learning by doing. But this is a slow, erratic and potentially faulty process. Functional leaders need to be really good at their technical roles but they also need to be strong in leading teams, in encouraging collaboration, in developing team members, and in having a solid understanding of your operations.
Businesses turn to Crestcom to help transform their managers into leaders. 75% of Fortune Magazine’s "Most Admired Companies" have participated in the Crestcom L.E.A.D.R Program and 98% of our clients have said Crestcom training equaled or exceeded their expectations. Each month, thousands of business professionals from companies of all sizes across six continents participate in the Crestcom L.E.A.D.R. training, where leaders develop their skills, exchange ideas, and share what’s working now. Participants can join the program at any time and the 12-month training program covers 24 modules of leadership, management, and sales development.
