I am the President of Leaders First, an authorized licensee of Crestcom International. At Crestcom International, we work with small, mid-market, and Fortune 500 companies to develop critical management skills and train leaders in Effective Communication, Customer Service, People Development, Change Management, Negotiation, Problem Solving, Strategic Thinking, and Team Building. In short, we turn managers into Leaders.
For the past 30 years, more than 62% of Fortune magazine’s “Most Admired Companies” have participated in Crestcom's leadership development program. Crestcom has been ranked four times as the World’s #1 Management Training Franchise by Entrepreneur magazine.
Prior to founding Leaders First, I spent nearly three decades in diverse, multicultural, and multi-ethnic environments across Mexico, South Africa, and the United States. I began my career as a consultant in Strategic Planning for several private and public companies in Mexico. Then I went to work for the government where I developed and led a diverse team to evaluate Public Research Centers in Mexico, with the aim of improving their strategic plans. After completing my graduate studies in the United States, I helped DePaul University to build partnerships with Mexico’s top universities, organizing and developing teams of students, teachers, and school administrators.
Life took me to South Africa, where I was involved in the launch of the first Pan-African high school in Johannesburg that has the mission to find brilliant young leaders who have the potential to transform the future of Africa. I supported the recruitment of teachers and the development of retention strategies to keep them. In Mexico City, I was a Business and Economics professor for a Culinary Arts Program where I introduced the importance of customer focus, decision making, and delegation. Now living in Delaware, I have worked for an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to leading and financing projects for school construction and leadership development across Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa, India, and South East Asia.
I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish. I hold a bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, a master's in Educational Leadership, and a certificate in Higher Education Teaching.
