Bio Picture: Kevin Mowers

Kevin Mowers has pursued a passion for organizational and leadership development throughout his career. He began in higher education, focusing on student affairs and leading university housing operations. He served as the Assistant Director for Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution at The University of Michigan as well as the Associate Director of Residential Communities at Kent State University, after which he was later promoted to the Director of Residence Life. He was responsible for programs, operations, marketing and social media, assessment, as well as the safety and security of the campus. He was directly responsible for over 200 employees and managed a budget of over $20 million dollars.

Kevin received his Master of Science in Psychology focusing on Organizational Behavior and Human Development from Northern Michigan University. He received his B.A.A. from Central Michigan University in Sports Studies and Recreation.

Kevin has lectured, facilitated, and presented at national conferences and workshops on topics such as Restorative Justice, Social Justice, Organizational Development, and Leadership Development Theory. He is a contributing author to “The Little Book of Restorative Justice for Colleges and Universities” by David R. Karp.

Kevin loves the outdoors. He is a competitive archer and loves to go fishing whenever possible. He loves music and had the honor of recently performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City as a choral bass singer. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two daughters.
