Dr. Olukayode A. Olusunmade is a leadership development expert with many years of helping organizational leaders effectively achieve results through their team members. He is the Founder/CEO of COPE Leadership Consulting and the Master Licensee for Crestcom International in Nigeria. Dr. Olusunmade has since 2004 trained hundreds of managers and senior executives on leadership, customer service, mentoring, change, performance management, and goal setting, among other skills, based on the functional Crestcom Bullet Proof Manager training methodology.
Ahead of his current role as a leadership skills trainer, Dr. Olusunmade trained as an economist, marketing practitioner, leadership trainer, and educator, holding first and second degrees in Economics from the Universities of Ibadan and Lagos respectively, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from University of Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Professionally, he possesses the Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, England, and is also an alumnus of the Lagos Business School from where in 1996 he undertook the Advanced Management Program.
Prior to voluntary early retirement in 2002 as Executive Director- Corporate Services at Academy Press Plc, Dr. Olusunmade worked in renowned global corporations, including Chesebrough-Pond’s, Unilever Plc, and Johnson & Johnson in sales, brand, and marketing management roles. He is also involved in a nonprofit Teacher Leadership initiative in the effort for the education sector to become the causative agent for the transformational development of Nigeria. In this regard, Dr. Olusunmade has so far authored four educational leadership books. He is married to Olufunmilayo, and they have two children. His hobbies include athletics, football, basketball, and engaging in community volunteering work.
