Dr. Joey Ruiz is a seasoned CEO, entrepreneur, HR business partner, and leadership advisor who helps clients improve their leadership effectiveness with greater self-awareness, confidence, passion, and purpose. He has decades of experience coaching, consulting, and advising some of the top growth-focused executives, entrepreneurs, and organizational leaders, including those from Fortune 500 companies. As a proven strategist and coach, he has collaborated with many leaders in the architecture of talent management and leadership development strategies designed to attract, develop, enable, and retain high-caliber leaders. His mission is to help leaders and their organizations elevate performance, integrate ethical leadership, and achieve significant growth for a sustainable impact.
Joey’s character and relentless drive were shaped while overcoming extreme adversity and poverty in his youth. Through sacrifice, faith, and support from kindhearted people along the way, he was accepted into the U.S. Military and later became the first college graduate in his family. After holding leadership positions in multinational companies, Joey launched several successful business ventures and is now focused on leadership development, organizational change management, and transformational principles to drive growth and culture. Joey’s unique life experiences combined with his passion for developing stronger, more ethical leaders has now led him to partner with Crestcom International as the CEO of LeadRite, an authorized licensee.
Joey has earned a doctorate in Organizational Change Management and Leadership from the University of Southern California, a master’s degree in Organizational Development and Leadership from Gonzaga University, a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Hope International University, and an academic certificate in Executive and Professional Coaching from the University of Texas Naveen Jindal School of Management. Joey also holds multiple certifications and training certificates from esteemed organizations, including Hogan Instruments, Wiley/Everything DiSC, American Management Association, Human Capital Institute, Michigan State University, The John Maxwell Team, Society of Human Resource Management, and the Human Resources Certification Institute.
Joey previously served on the Board of Directors of Connections Academy, a fully accredited virtual public charter school (K-12), and the Business and Accounting Programs Advisory Board of Saddleback College, California's top-ranked transfer school.
Joey’s hobbies include spending quality time with his wife and four children, fitness training, reading, traveling, and church activities.
